Pediatric Dentistry

Pediatric Dentists are experts in maintaining the Oral Health of Infants and Teens. They provide treatment that includes:
Habit counselling
Correcting Misaligned teeth
Tooth Cavities treatment
Root Canal treatment for children
Fluoride Application
Habit counselling

Habit counselling in which doctors help to keep the habits of your children in check. This can include simple tips like brushing after meals or limiting sugary foods. When these habits are kept under control, it can help prevent tooth decay and cavities from forming. It also helps the child to correct habits like thumb sucking, nail bitting.
Correcting Misaligned teeth
Correction of crooked and misaligned teeth for kids who may have received trauma during childhood or have other dental abnormalities that need to be corrected before permanent teeth come in (usually around age 5-7). Once permanent teeth come in, it's much more difficult to correct any issues with them!
Tooth Cavities treatment

Treatment of tooth cavities if they do develop in young children (before age 6) so they don't get worse over time and cause more damage than necessary later on down the road when they're older (like having multiple root).
Children's teeth can get damaged at any time, and when it happens, you might think that your child is too young to need root canal treatment. But there's no such thing as "too young" to get your child's teeth fixed!
Root Canal treatment for children

If your baby’s teeth have been injured or if decay has advanced deep into the roots of your child’s teeth, a root canal treatment to stabilize teeth may be needed. Root canal treatment removes the infection from the pulp, the living tissue that is found inside the tooth’s roots. The pulp contains the tooth’s nerves, so tooth pain is often an indication that decay has moved into the pulp.
Root canal treatment is a simple procedure wherein instruments are used to clean the root canals of teeth followed by inserting a medication so as to maintain the teeth properly in the oral cavity.
Crowns for your Kids

Stainless Steel Crowns
Stainless steel crowns are the most common type of crown used in pediatric dentistry. These are what many people call “silver” crowns. These shiny silver crowns are very strong and durable and are a great option if you aren’t concerned about esthetics or, in other words, good looks.

Composite Strip Crowns or Resin Crowns
This type of crown is for your front teeth. Installing these crowns demands skillful technique and often requires more time to perform. Because of the time required, these crowns can be difficult to place on small, uncooperative children; and general anesthesia sedation is often recommended. Strip crowns are entirely made of composite “white” “filling material. This filling material looks very natural; but over time, it does have a tendency to absorb stains and discolor. Resin crowns are also much weaker than stainless steel crowns, and there is an increased chance that a piece or corner of the crown may fracture off.

Zirconia Crowns
These crowns are made of solid Zirconia, a biocompatible material that, until now, has only been used in high-end, adult cosmetic dentistry. Composed entirely of one solid tooth-colored material, they look extremely esthetic, both from the front view and on the inside of the mouth. Each crown is glazed with a hint of natural color, making them very smooth, shiny, and impermeable to staining. They are exceptionally strong, and their unsurpassed esthetics allows them to blend in seamlessly with surrounding natural teeth. Compared with the strip crowns zirconia crown strength is very high
How does laughing gas help your Child ?

“Laughing gas” or Nitrous oxide-oxygen anxiolysis may be often recommended by your child’s pediatric dentist for helping him/her cope through dental treatment. With the levels used in a dental office, Nitrous oxide-oxygen generally does not cause sedation but relaxes a mildly anxious child and takes the edge away so the child is calmer during the treatment
It also has “analgesic” or “pain relieving” properties which help the child even further. It also helps eliminate the sense of time away from helping a child with a shorter attention span go through more extensive treatment. With appropriate scavenger systems in place and the ability to adjust the level of Oxygen/Nitrous oxide, it has a great margin of safety in your dentist's office.
Fluoride Application

A common problem for which parents usually take their children to the dentist is decay. This is because there is a lack of proper dexterity of brushing in children. To avoid the problem of decay, parents should get the Fluoride application treatment in children at regular intervals.
Fluoride helps to fight plaque and bacteria which can cause enamel loss which further causes cavities. Fluoride also strengthens the tooth structure & helps in bone growth. Under this treatment, the dentist incorporates fluoride ions into the tooth structure making them more prone to acid dissolution. This treatment is equally useful for both milk & permanent teeth.
Fluoride application is an important part of preventive care for kids as it helps in strengthening teeth and preventing cavities in them. It protects your child's teeth from decay which may occur due to bacteria build-up on teeth or when something sweet is consumed without brushing out firstly!.
